Color is the Beginning. Connection is the Outcome.
Color is a universal language that transcends boundaries.

Color is a universal language that transcends boundaries. •
My work is rooted in a color-based studio practice exploring the interaction of color and the human spirit.
Raised by two master papermakers, I learned early that color is more than something applied to a surface. It becomes embedded within material, revealed through process, and experienced through the body. Watching fiber, water, and pigment transform into paper taught me that making is not simply about creating objects—it is a way of paying attention.
That understanding continues to shape everything I create.
Today my studio practice extends across handmade paper, pulp painting, watercolor, public art, facilitated experiences, creative color consulting, and Colorchase—a human-centered drawing platform developed with and for people living with dementia and their care partners.
Although these expressions of my work take different forms, they all return to the same enduring question:
How can color deepen our connection—to ourselves, to one another, and to the spaces we inhabit?
Whether I am creating artwork, designing environments, developing digital tools, leading immersive experiences, or collaborating with organizations, I approach color as both material and language—one capable of fostering curiosity, presence, dignity, and shared experience.
