Color speaks for itself. At the intersection of fine art, environmental design, and human-centered thinking, this work explores how color and art shape the way we feel, connect, remember, and experience a place.
This acoustic panel installation reflects that approach, transforming a functional architectural element into a meaningful visual experience. Through abstract color, movement, and material, the work responds to the library’s environment, creating a sense of calm, connection, and discovery for the community it serves.
Designed as a single uninterrupted artwork, the installation spans eighteen custom 4 × 8-foot acoustic panels, covering a total of 576 square feet.
Public art has the power to do more than decorate a space—it can transform how people engage with their surroundings.
The design process explored how color and abstract form could shape the experience of place, evolving through sketches and color studies inspired by the movement of water and the flow of knowledge.
